Undrowned

 Just when I thought I could breathe,

Why did you have to pull me underwater?

Why did you have to blind me,

When I've just spotted the light at the end of the dark tunnel?

Were the screams I suppressed too loud for you?

Were the oceans I crossed not deep enough?

They say only a diamond cuts a diamond,

Maybe that’s why I turn to pain to dwindle my anguish.

I’d rather rest in peace forever than die each day.
